We are looking for a 5th midwife to join a full-scope, busy practice in Lynchburg, VA. Very supportive physicians, excellent salary and benefits (including pension plan and tail coverage), great locale - near to mountains, beaches and a very family-friendly community. Call schedule to be mostly 1:4, occasionally 1:5. If anyone is interested, please email me directly and I would be happy to answer any questions and offer more details. CNM opportunity in Northampton, MA.
I am 1 of 3 midwives in a one year old midwifery practice in a very
midwifery-friendly area. We see OB and GYN clients on the grounds of a community hospital, Cooley Dickinson, in a lovely, renovated Victorian house. Births are across the way in the hospital’s Childbirth Center. We are looking for a fourth person to join us. We would like to work ~ 80% each, with call being shared equally, although there is room for discussion and some flexibility. We are the only midwifery group at this hospital, are offering Centering Pregnancy and conventional prenatal care, and have an extremely supportive medical director. If anyone is intrigued by living in this part of the country and being part of an ideal practice (well, close to, anyway) send me an email or go to the Cooley Dickinson web site: www.cooley-dickinson.org

Part-time CNM in Manchester, CT
Manchester OB/GYN Associates is seeking a part-time nurse-midwife. Hours are negotiable. This opportunity has opened up due to my educational plans for the 2009-2010 academic year. I am looking for someone to help me cover my hours: two office days, a 24-hour weekday call and a 24-hour weekend call a month. Given my academic internship requirements, I am hoping to limit my midwifery hours to an office day a week with perhaps a weekend call a month. Given the fact that we have just opened a 3rd office, more office hours could likely be negotiated. This is a long-term opportunity for the right fit, beyond the academic year with plenty of opportunity to work as much as you’d like.
We are a full-scope collaborative practice with privileges in a community hospital setting with a level 2 nursery, very supportive of midwifery care. We have two lovely spa rooms and offer waterbirth as well as TENS rentals. The hospital has an active mentor/doula program. We care for a diverse population and attract women from across the state who desire birth in a low intervention setting. Currently we are the only hospital “east of the river” offering waterbirth.
Experience preferred but would be willing to train the right new grad. Please email me privately for more information. I look forward to speaking with you!

CNM position in Camp Hill, PA
The Center for Women’s Health is a very busy practice in Camp Hill PA, a pleasant suburb across the river from the capitol city of Harrisburg. We take all insurances as well as the uninsured, so we get a diverse mix of clients, from highly educated professionals to refugees and undocumented immigrants. We tend women from Somalia, Peru, Argentina, Morocco, Bosnia, Niger, Nigeria, Kenya, Mexico, India, Iraq, and other women from all over the world. We have 5 MDs and 3 midwives. We hired a 4th but she is on family medical leave and might not be coming back. A new midwife would bring our number to 4, which will expand to 5 if our colleague returns. A 4th midwife will allow us to do 24/7 midwife coverage with midwives attending most births, with a really nice schedule. Our docs are awesome and treat us with respect. We are VBAC-friendly and plan to do Centering Pregnancy, and the L&D nurses love midwives. It is a Catholic hospital and we do not do contraception, only the Creighton Method of natural family planning - but of course you don’t have to be Catholic to fit in there!
